Taxpayer Protector Rating System

The Colorado Union of Taxpayers assesses legislators in both chambers of the Colorado General Assemblyu2014the Senate and the House of Representativesu2014based on how closely their voting records align with CUTu2019s recommendations on key taxpayer-related legislation. Legislators are rated using a tiered system that reflects their level of commitment to protecting taxpayers. The highest designation, Champion, is given to those scoring 90% or above. Guardian is the next tier, awarded to those scoring between 80% and 89%. Finally, legislators earning a score between 70% and 79% are recognized as Warriors. This rating system allows taxpayers to easily see which representatives in each chamber are truly dedicated to safeguarding their financial interests.
