Colorado Union of Taxpayers Hosts 2026 Legislative Kick-Off Event

Lawmakers and taxpayer advocates gather to launch the new legislative session

DENVER — The Colorado Union of Taxpayers (CUT) invites the public to its annual Legislative Kick-Off on Thursday, January 29, 2026. The event brings together state legislators, taxpayer advocates, and concerned citizens as Colorado’s 2026 legislative session gets underway.

Attendees will have a rare opportunity to meet and engage with lawmakers in an informal setting, hear about priorities for the upcoming session, and celebrate CUT’s Taxpayers Champions, Guardians, and Warriors — legislators recognized for their commitment to fiscal responsibility.

“This event is about connecting everyday Coloradans with the people who represent them,” said Kim Monson, President of the Colorado Union of Taxpayers. “As legislators prepare to make decisions that affect every taxpayer in our state, we want to make sure their constituents have a seat at the table.”
